New CEO B&S Group
18-04-2023 Distributor and wholesale company B&S Group has appointed Peter van Mierlo to replace former top Executive Tako de Haan, who left this year due to conflicts of interest.
Peter van Mierlo built a career at the accounting and consulting firm PwC, the last five years as managing director of PwC Netherlands. From 2018 to 2020, Van Mierlo was CEO of FMO. Since 2020, he has held the position of CFO at CubicPV, a solar energy company in the United States.
The issue surrounding De Haan's departure arose because of a "financial relationship" between Tako de Haan and major shareholder Sarabel Invest that had not been reported in a timely manner. B&S concluded after an investigation that the company was not disadvantaged, but correct policies regarding conflicts of interest were not followed.
Since De Haan's departure, the company has been led ad interim by Bas Schreuders. After the shareholders' meeting in May, Van Mierlo will take over the leadership.
