Piet Hilarides new CEO Royal Agrifirm Group
17-10-2024 Royal Agrifirm Group has announced that Piet Hilarides will be appointed as CEO effective December 1, 2024.
Piet Hilarides began his career as an Account Manager at PepsiCo. He then moved to FrieslandCampina, where he spent 23 years in various commercial positions and management roles at the former Campina. After the merger between Campina and Friesland Foods, Hilarides became COO of the Cheese, Butter, and Milk Powder division, and later COO of the Asia region at Royal FrieslandCampina. In both periods, he was part of the company’s Executive Board. His most recent role was as CEO of Baladna, a publicly listed dairy company in Qatar.
Piet Hilarides will assume the position of CEO of Royal Agrifirm Group on December 1, succeeding Dick Hordijk, who will step down after an eight-year tenure on January 1, 2025.
The Supervisory Board expressed its pleasure with Piet Hilarides' appointment in a press release: ‘With more than 20 years of (inter)national experience in cooperative and non-cooperative environments in the Agro and Food industry, he brings a wealth of seasoned expertise. This background makes him a suitable CEO to lead Royal Agrifirm Group in the upcoming strategic period.’
