Alex Holt New Chief Sustainability Officer at Ahold Delhaize

06-12-2023 Ahold Delhaize has announced the appointment of Alex Holt as Chief Sustainability Officer, effective from June 1, 2024.

Alex Holt succeeds Jan Ernst de Groot, who has been in his current role at Ahold Delhaize since 2022. De Groot started in 2015 as Chief Legal Officer and currently serves as Chief Legal Officer & Chief Sustainability Officer. De Groot will depart on May 31, 2024. Linn Evans, currently Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel at Ahold Delhaize USA, will take over his role as Chief Legal Officer from April 15.

The British-Australian Holt has been the Chief Sustainability Officer at Woolworths Group, the largest retailer in Australia and New Zealand, since 2021. She has been with the company since 2011, holding various positions within their supermarkets business. She will be moving to the Netherlands for her new role at Ahold Delhaize.
