Loek Sibbing appointed Chairman of ABP's Board

08-03-2023 Effective March 7, Loek Sibbing has been appointed independent Chairman of ABP's Board. He succeeds Corien Wortmann, who stepped down on January 1.

Loek Sibbing has been a Board member of ABP since 2019. He has years of experience as a director and supervisor and was Chairman of the Board of the Netherlands Investment Institution from 2014 to 2019. Before that, Loek Sibbing was CEO of Univest Company, the asset manager of Unilever pension funds. His career began in the finance department at KLM, director of pension funds Randstad, Volker Wessels and Unilever Netherlands.

ABP's General Board consists of three Executive Board member, 12 non-Executive Board members (four nominated by employee organizations, four nominated by employers and three nominated by pensioners) and an independent Chairman. As of March 7, 2023, this composition is as follows: the Executive Board consists of Harmen van Wijnen (Chairman), Dominique Dijkhuis and Yolanda Verdonk. The non-Executive Board consists of Aldert Boonen, Patrick Fey, Anne Gram, André van Vliet (nominated by employee organizations), Krista Nauta, Paul Rosenmöller, Vandena van der Meer-Gangapersadsing, Alfred Slager (nominated by employers) and Marjolein ten Kroode, Conchita Mulder-Volkers and Xander den Uyl (nominated by pensioners) and independent Chairman Loek Sibbing.
