Rogier van der Hooft new healthcare director at health insurer CZ
01-05-2024 Health insurer CZ has announced that Rogier van der Hooft has started as the new healthcare director on May 1st. He will now oversee healthcare procurement and transformation.
Van der Hooft has been with health insurer CZ since 2002, holding various positions including relationship manager, healthcare purchaser, marketing manager, and director of marketing and sales. Until May 2024, van der Hooft was a member of the executive board of CbusineZ for five years. CbusineZ is a subsidiary of CZ.
Van der Hooft anticipates that as a healthcare director at CZ, he will need to continuously balance societal impact: "You want to ensure an affordable premium for your policyholders, so you must also manage healthcare costs. At the same time, you want to build a resilient system where healthcare remains accessible to those in need."
CZ is changing its organizational structure. As a result, the management layer below the board, the executive committee, is being dissolved. Currently, CZ is expanding its executive board from two to seven members. The first four positions have already been filled.
