Stefaan Decraene new ceo Rabobank
06-09-2022 Stefaan Decraene has been nominated by Rabobank as the new chair of the Managing Board. He succeeds Wiebe Draijer, who had earlier announced he would stop as CEO on October 1, 2022.
Stefaan Decraene studied Applied Economics in Leuven and has years of experience in the banking sector. He was CEO at Dexia Bank Belgium and member of the Managing Board at Dexia Group. The past ten years Decraene was a member of the Executive Committee at BNP Paribas, as Head of International Banking.
Wiebe Draijer will leave his position on October 1, 2022. Decraene will start somewhat later, after finishing his work at BNP Paribas. In the meantime CFO Bas Brouwers will be acting CEO at Rabobank.
