Benoît Ribadeau-Dumas New Supervisory Director Philips

20-02-2024 Today, Philips announced that it proposes to appoint Benoît Ribadeau-Dumas as new member of the Supervisory Board.

The proposed appointment of Benoît Ribadeau-Dumas is subject to the approval of the shareholders at the Annual General Meeting of Shareholders (AGM), which will be held on May 7, 2024.

The relationship agreement includes Exor’s right to propose one member to the Supervisory Board of Philips. In line with this agreement, the Supervisory Board now proposes to appoint Benoît Ribadeau-Dumas as member of the Supervisory Board.

Supervisory Chair Feike Sijbesma looks forward to have Ribadeau-Dumas join Philips’ Supervisory Board. “Benoît is a recognized business leader. His extensive track record across multiple, high-tech industries, and his current focus within Exor on healthcare will bring valued contributions to the Supervisory Board and further support Philips’ value creation strategy and purpose to improve the health and well-being of people”.

Benoît Ribadeau-Dumas has been a Managing Director at Exor since 2022, where he leads Exor’s activities and investments related to the healthcare sector. He is a member of the board of directors of Institut Merieux, Stellantis, and Welltec. Born in France in 1972, he graduated from École Polytechnique and attended the École Nationale d’Administration (ENA).

In addition to Ribadeau-Dumas’s nomintation to the Supervisory Board, Philips proposes to re-appoint Supervisory Chair Feike Sijbesma and Supervisory Director Peter Löscher.
