Nienke Meijer New Supervisory Director Achmea
26-07-2023 At an extraordinary general meeting, Nienke Meijer was appointed as a member of Achmea's Supervisory Board.
Nienke Meijer is a Supervisory Director at PostNL and Deloitte, Chairman of the Board of Stichting De Volkskrant and Co-founder and Partner of Stichting De Buitenboordmotor. In the past she was, among other things, Chairman of the Executive Board of Fontys Hogescholen and worked in various commercial and managerial roles at the publishers Wegener and VNU.
Her appointment is for a period of four years and has been approved by De Nederlandsche Bank. Meijer will also become a member of the Supervisory Board of Achmea Pensioen- en Levensverzekeringen N.V. and Achmea Schadeverzekeringen N.V.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board Jan van den Berg: "Nienke has a broad background as a director in the public and private sector and has strong managerial and supervisory competencies. In addition, she has extensive experience with digitalization and platforms, new revenue models and partnerships. This makes her a valuable addition to Achmea's Supervisory Board."
Achmea's Supervisory Board now consists of: Jan van den Berg (Chairman), Wim de Weijer (Vice Chairman), Tjahny Bercx, Miriam van Dongen, Petri Hofsté, Lex Kloosterman, Nienke Meijer and Roel Wijmenga.
