Heijmans Nominates Allard Castelein as Member of the Supervisory Board

31-05-2022 On March 30, 2022, Heijmans announced the nomination of Allard Castelein as member of the Supervisory Board for a period of almost four years. The proposal will be discussed at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders to be held on 12 July 2022. The Works Council supports this nomination.

Allard Castelein has been CEO of Havenbedrijf Rotterdam (Port of Rotterdam Authority) since 2014. From 1987 to 2013 he held various positions within Shell. For instance, he was active in the Marketing and Business Development of Shell International and he was Commercial Manager Europe Upstream. From 2009 to 2013, he was Vice President for Environment.
Castelein was also a member of the Executive Board of NAM and a member of the Supervisory Board of Isala Klinieken until 2021.

In addition to his position as CEO of the Port of Rotterdam Authority, Castelein is currently a board member at VNO-NCW and a non-executive director at Renewi.

Due to Castelein’s broad knowledge and experience, the Supervisory Board is convinced that he will make a valuable contribution to both the Supervisory Board and Heijmans.
