Adyen CFO Ethan Tandowsky to step down

28-05-2026 Adyen announces that CFO Ethan Tandowsky will leave the company to pursue an opportunity outside of fintech.

Ethan Tandowsky will step down as CFO of Adyen on 31 August 2026. He joined the company in 2016 and has served as CFO since 2023. The Supervisory Board will initiate a search process to identify his successor.

Supervisory Board Chair Piero Overmars expressed surprise at the timing of the departure, but said he respects Tandowsky's decision to take on a new challenge. Co-CEOs Pieter van der Does and Ingo Uytdehaage also indicated they regret his decision.

Tandowsky said: "My time at Adyen has been incredibly rewarding. I am proud of our shared achievements, the financial foundation we have built, and I have absolute confidence in Adyen's future. As I make a personal decision to step outside of fintech to pursue a completely new path, my priority is ensuring a smooth transition and continued momentum over the coming months."
