Pharming has nominated Fabrice Chouraqui as the new CEO, succeeding Sijmen de Vries. Chouraqui is nominated on January 21, 2025, and will assume his role after shareholder approval during the extraordinary general meeting. De Vries, who has served as CEO of Pharming for the past 16 years, will remain as a strategic advisor to ensure a smooth handover of responsibilities until December 31, 2025.
Chouraqui brings extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, having held leadership positions at Flagship Pioneering, Novartis, and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
