Frans Muller new Supervisory Director DNB

09-12-2022 De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) announced on December 9 that Frans Muller will be appointed to the Supervisory Board on January 1, 2023.

Frans Muller is currently chairman of the Executive Board and CEO of Ahold Delhaize, where he has served since 2018. He is also chairman of the Supervisory Board of Vlerick Business School.

The appointment of Muller as a member of the Supervisory Board was decided by Finance Minister Sigrid Kaag on behalf of the shareholder. He succeeds Feike Sijbesma, who will step down after 10 years at the General Meeting on March 22, 2023.

 

Wim Kuijken, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, reported the following about the new appointment: "It gives me great pleasure to welcome Frans Muller. With his arrival, managerial and organizational experience within an internationally active company remains strongly represented in the Supervisory Board. Frans Muller brings a lot of knowledge and experience in the field of sustainability and innovation. We would like to thank Feike very much for his commitment, dedication and loyalty to DNB over the past ten years. Among other things, he has contributed greatly to developments within DNB on the topic of sustainability. As Chairman of the Remuneration and Appointments Committee, he has made an important contribution to the continuity and stability of DNB's management. His strong personality contributed to a strong positioning of the SB, and thus also of DNB."
