Gerben Smeenk appointed new Chairman of Agrifirm Supervisory Board

During the member council meeting on December 16, 2024, Gerben Smeenk was appointed as the new Chairman of the Supervisory Board at Agrifirm. He succeeds Arian Kamp, who steps down after seven years as Chairman and eighteen years of involvement.
Smeenk, a dairy farmer from Makkinga and a member of the Supervisory Board since 2018, emphasized the importance of staying connected with the field: “We must continue to perform at a high level and respond to the needs of our members with quality products, competitive prices, and the right knowledge and support.”
Kamp expressed confidence in his successor: “Gerben brings innovation and a forward-looking vision, precisely what the organization needs right now.”
