Ingrid Thijssen joins TU Delft
11-11-2025 Ingrid Thijssen, chair of VNO-NCW, will be appointed chair of the board of directors of TU Delft on March 1.
The university says: “TU Delft's new chair must be a leader with strategic insight and an external perspective, as well as a manager who can combine empathy and transparency with vision and decisiveness. We have found all these qualities in Ingrid Thijssen.”
Thijssen has been chair of VNO-NCW since 2020 and was reappointed in 2023 for a second term that expires in June 2026. She will remain active as chair of VNO-NCW until March 1, 2026. The board of the business association is currently working on the succession of the chairmanship.
