Gasunie has announced that CFO Janneke Hermes will leave the company at the end of February 2025, after nearly 23 years of service. Hermes, who has been with Gasunie since 2002 and has served as CFO for over five years, will become CFO and member of the board of directors at Royal Wagenborg.

During her time at Gasunie, Hermes made significant contributions to the sustainable investment agenda and various projects related to hydrogen, heat, green gas, and CO2 storage. She also temporarily served as acting CEO after the departure of former CEO Han Fennema.

The supervisory board, led by Diederik Samsom, expressed appreciation for Hermes' dedication and leadership. "Janneke has helped Gasunie take the lead in the energy transition," said Samsom.
Hermes herself is looking forward to her new role at Royal Wagenborg: "After 23 years at Gasunie, I am ready for a new chapter. I am proud of what we have achieved and look forward to applying my experience at Wagenborg."
The search for Hermes' successor has already begun.
