Jeanine Tijhaar steps down as CFO of Eneco
22-05-2024 Eneco has announced that CFO Jeanine Tijhaar will step down from her position as of August 2024.
Jeanine Tijhaar has been with Eneco since 2017, serving as CFO since 2021. She has expressed her ambition to take the next step in her career outside the energy company. The completion of the annual financial statements is expected in July, providing a natural moment for Tijhaar's departure. Additionally, this marks the end of a four-year financial cycle since the acquisition of Eneco by Mitsubishi Corporation and Chubu Electric, in which Tijhaar played a significant role.
The selection process for a new CFO has already commenced under the guidance of Eneco's Supervisory Board.
Jeanine Tijhaar stated: "It was a difficult decision to bid farewell to the people of Eneco and its admirable mission. Eneco has transformed into a different company, with CO2 emissions nearly halved since 2019, coupled with significantly improved financial results. I am proud of the resilience demonstrated by my team; how they managed the energy crisis while advancing a crucial change agenda. As a digitally integrated energy player, Eneco is now well-prepared for the future. It has been a pleasure collaborating with the entire Eneco team, and I am grateful for the time we have spent together."
