Jeroen Rijpkema steps down as CEO of Triodos Bank
22-08-2024 Triodos Bank has announced Jeroen Rijpkema will hand over his role as CEO and Chairman of the Executive Board next year.
Rijpkema has been CEO of Triodos Bank since 2021, succeeding Peter Blom. Under his leadership, the bank made greater efforts to combat potential money laundering. During his tenure, the bank also decided to move to the Amsterdam stock exchange, a decision made in 2024 that still needs to be presented at an extraordinary shareholders' meeting later this year. The IPO is expected to take at least another year to complete.
Rijpkema has informed the Supervisory Board that he is not available to extend his tenure of four years beyond 2025. He will leave after the Annual General Meeting in May 2025.
Rijpkema on his departure: ‘In 2021 I initially joined Triodos Bank for a 2-year term and soon after I extended my term to 4 years, ending in May 2025. I am proud of all the progress we have made with our pursuit for positive impact, several strategic transitions, and improved financial results. I’m grateful for all the support I received from the Triodos Bank community.’
The Supervisory Board is now searching for a successor to Rijpkema.
