Lard Friese and Daniëlle Jansen Heijtmajer New Supervisory Directors ASR Nederland
18-01-2023 On January 17, Lard Friese and Daniëlle Jansen Heijtmajer were appointed as members of the Supervisory Board of ASR Nederland N.V. (a.s.r.).
At the extraordinary general meeting of shareholders held on January 17, the shareholders of a.s.r. approved the acquisition of the shares of Aegon Nederland N.V. and thus the merger of the two companies. The meeting also approved the appointment of Lard Friese and Daniëlle Jansen Heijtmajer as new Supervisory Directors of ASR Nederland.
The appointment of Lard Friese and Daniëlle Jansen Heijtmajer is for a period of four years and will be effective upon the merger of a.s.r. and Aegon Nederland. Lard Friese is current CEO of Aegon N.V. and has extensive experience at NN Group, ING Group and Ceska pojistovna.
Daniëlle Jansen Heijtmajer is Global Director Finance, Shared Services and Enterprise Risk at Royal FrieslandCampina. She is also a Supervisory Director at TKP Pensioen and Uber and a member of the Advisory Board of the University of Amsterdam. Previously, she was also a Supervisory Director at Aegon, among other companies.
The closing of transaction for the merger of a.s.r. and Aegon Nederland is scheduled for July 2023. The transaction is still subject to the approval of Nederlandsche Bank, The European Central Bank and the Authority for Consumers and Markets. ASR Nederland and Aegon Group are working closely together to meet these conditions for the completion of the transaction.
