Leadership changes within Ahold Delhaize
24-04-2025 Ahold Delhaize has announced that Maite Zubiaurre will be appointed as CEO of Bol as of 1 September 2025. She will succeed Margaret Versteden-van Duijn, who will be appointed as CEO of Albert Heijn, Etos, and Gall & Gall on the same date.
Maite Zubiaurre is currently Chief Product & Technology Officer and a member of the Management Board at Bol. Since joining the company in 2016, she has held various senior positions, including Director of Strategy & Business Development and Director of Marketing & Shopping Technologies. Prior to her time at Bol, she spent ten years at BCG, working in several countries including Spain, the Netherlands, the United States, and the United Kingdom.

Margaret Versteden-van Duijn, who will become CEO of Albert Heijn, Etos, and Gall & Gall as of 1 September, has held several roles at Bol. She joined ten years ago as Chief Marketing Officer and later served as Chief Commercial Officer and Chief Platform Officer, with end responsibility for Bol’s platform operations. In 2021, she was appointed as CEO of Bol. Before joining Bol, Margaret worked at Bain & Company, Nike, and BCG.
