Boels installs Supervisory Board

01-10-2024 Family owned business Boels has announced that it has installed a Supervisory Board, consisting of three members.

In 2018, the company already appointed an advisory board to provide advice to the management. Because of the large growth, partly due to a number of acquisitions, in both revenue and number of employees, Boels believes a Supervisory Board is better suited to the company's current size. The Supervisory Board will advise the Executive Board and contribute to Boels' long-term strategic vision and consists of three members.

Jan Piet Valk has been appointed as Chairman of the Supervisory Board. He was CFO of Boels from April 2020 to June 2024 and knows the organization from the inside. When he stepped down it was already known that he would have a role on the Supervisory Board, he commented, “It is a great honor to fulfill my new role on the Supervisory Board. In this position I can continue to dedicate myself to this incredibly beautiful company and everyone who is part of it. I am proud and look back with great pleasure on what we have accomplished as an organization, especially together, over the past few years. I hope to continue to make a worthy contribution from my new role for many years to come.”

Maurits Duynstee also joins the Supervisory Board. He has a long track record in the financial sector where he has held and still holds various senior management roles. He also has extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions and complex financings. Moreover, he was already a member of the advisory board at Boels Group since 2019.

Third member is Dirk-Jan Stoppelenburg, former CEO of Mirage Retail Group and Scotch & Soda, among others, and a supervisory board member at Koninklijke De Kuyper and the Swedish company Bergendahls Home.
