Michiel Delfos to step down from Achmea's executive Board in 2026

25-11-2025 Michiel Delfos will step down as chief risk officer and member of the executive board in the course of 2026. He will not be seeking a second term. The date of his departure will depend on the start date of his successor.

Delfos has been with Achmea since 2014, joining the executive Board in 2022. He has held various positions within Achmea: he started in 2014 as director of non-life insurance, was appointed chairman of the Non-life & Income division in 2015, and was appointed cro in 2022.

Bianca Tetteroo (chair of the executive board) and Jan van den Berg (chair of the supervisory board) had this to say about his departure: "As chief risk officer, Michiel has made his mark on the further development of riskmanagement at Achmea with great dedication and a clear vision.

“Michiel has always been a skilled and committed director. We are extremely grateful to him for his valuable contribution to the development of Achmea and wish him every success and all the best for the future.”
