Tom Heidman new Interim CEO at Jumbo
27-02-2025 Tom Heidman has been appointed as the interim CEO at Jumbo, as announced by the supermarket chain this morning during the presentation of its annual report.
Tom Heidman was the CEO of the supermarket chain Schuitema/C1000 from 2008 to 2012. He left after Jumbo acquired the company. Since then, Heidman has held various supervisory roles, initially at Vermaat and Vion, and currently at Remia, Euroma, Continental Candy Industries, and Dayes.
According to the supermarket company, Heidman has "extensive food retail experience," thanks in part to his previous executive positions at Albert Heijn, Gall & Gall, and Retail Network, as well as his board memberships.
Heidman succeeds Ton van Veen, who unexpectedly announced at the end of January that he would step down from his position.
“With his personality, qualities, and extensive experience, including knowledge of the Jumbo formula, we see Tom as the ideal candidate to temporarily fulfill the role of CEO,” said Chairwoman Colette Cloosterman. “Meanwhile, the search for a permanent CEO continues. We are confident that we will find someone who will be committed to our family business for the long term.”
