Two new Supervisory Directors KPMG

08-09-2023 KPMG announced the appointment of Bernard Wientjes as temporary Chairman of the Supervisory Board on 8 September. Sandra Berendsen has been appointed to the Supervisory Board with effect from 1 September 2023.

Bernard Wientjes has broad managerial and social experience. He was Chairman of employers' organisation VNO-NCW for nine years. From 2015 to 2021, he also served as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at KPMG. He will be appointed for a maximum period of 1.5 years. In his role, he succeeds Jolande Sap, who became acting Chairman when Roger van Boxtel stepped down earlier this year. Sap left the board on 18 August 2023, after the expiry of her second and final term. Together with the other Supervisory Directors, Wientjes will take care of appointing the future Chairman.

Sandra Berendsen has joined the Supervisory Board on 1 September. She has experience as a Supervisory Director through her roles as member of the Supervisory Board at FrieslandCampina and ForFarmers. She also knows the accountancy sector well through her previous role as Vice-chairman of the Supervisory Board at Alfa Accountants.
