Daniele Tonella new Chief Technology Officer ING
29-07-2024 ING has announced that Daniele Tonella will be appointed as Chief Technology Officer and member of the Management Board Banking, effective 5 August 2024.
Daniele Tonella, from Switzerland, brings over twenty years of experience in technology leadership within the financial sector. He is currently engaged in advisory and board positions across multiple companies. Between 2017 and 2021, he worked at UniCredit, where he served as Group Chief Information Officer and CEO of UniCredit Services. Prior to his tenure at UniCredit, he held various positions at AXA Group, Evalueserve, and Swiss Life.
Tonella will succeed Marnix van Stiphout who has held the role ad interim since 1 November 2023. His appointment has been approved by the European Central Bank.
