Blokker CEO steps down
27-11-2023 Blokker has announced the resignation of CEO Jeanine Holscher. Pauline Boerman succeeds her.
Jeanine Holscher has been CEO of Blokker since October 2020. She will step down from her position on January 1, 2024. "My goal was to put Blokker back on the map and make it a modern retailer," says Jeanine Holscher. "A company where employees enjoy working and are proud of, and where customers enjoy coming to store for everything in the field of household, cooking and dining. I think I have succeeded in that in the past four years, thanks in part to a great team around me. So now is a natural time to pass the baton."
Holscher will be succeeded by Blokker's current Purchasing Director, Pauline Boerman. She has been with Blokker since 2022 and in the past worked at HEMA, Ahold Delhaize, Action and V&D, among others.
Pauline Boerman: "After years of experience in various commercial roles at various leading retailers, I am enormously looking forward to continuing to build the beautiful Blokker brand from this role. I am very much looking forward to working with colleagues, entrepreneurs and partners to continue building on the foundation that Jeanine has established in recent years."
Blokker owner Michiel Witteveen: "Despite two difficult corona periods, increased rents, raw materials, energy prices and wages, Blokker - with over 4,000 committed employees - is now a strong player in the market both off- and online, and I am grateful to Jeanine for that. With Pauline, we have found an enthusiastic successor who can build on the foundation laid by Jeanine and her team."
The transfer of tasks will take place in the coming weeks. Pauline Boerman will start in her new position on January 1, 2024. Jeanine Holscher will remain with Mirage Retail Group as a shareholder.
