Jeroen Sanders appointed new cto at Van Oord
09-01-2026 Van Oord has appointed Jeroen Sanders as cto with effect from March 1, 2026. He will join the executive committee of the maritime contractor.
With his move to Van Oord, Sanders is switching from the network management sector to the maritime contracting industry. He currently works at Enexis Group as CTO and has also held various management positions in the energy sector, including Essent. Sanders will be the first cto in Van Oord's history. The position was created because of Van Oord's ambition to achieve targeted, profitable growth. In his role, Sanders will be responsible for leading multi-year transitions to improve effectiveness and operations.
