New Chair of the Supervisory Board at ForFarmers
24-01-2025 ForFarmers has announced the nomination of Marijke Folkers as Chair of the Supervisory Board, effective April 17, 2025.
Marijke Folkers joined the Supervisory Board in 2022. She is the owner of Mevar Meeden, a business specializing in arable farming, poultry, and pig farming. Previously, she worked as Head of Procurement at Nedmag Industries Mining and Manufacturing. Folkers also brings significant governance experience in the agricultural sector, including her role as Chair of the Supervisory Board at Coöperatie Koninklijke Avebe U.A.
The Members’ Council of Coöperatie FromFarmers U.A. has decided that Folkers will succeed Jan van Nieuwenhuizen in this role following the General Meeting on April 17, 2025. Van Nieuwenhuizen recently announced that he would not be available for another term.
Jan van Nieuwenhuizen commented on Folkers’ appointment: ‘I am very pleased that we have been able to nominate an excellent candidate from within the Supervisory Board. With her knowledge and experience, she will make a valuable contribution to further shaping ForFarmers' strategy.’
