Marlies Visser and Daan Schut to Leave Alliander's Board of Directors

22-01-2025 Marlies Visser (Chief Operating Officer) will leave on April 16, 2025, while Daan Schut (Chief Transition Officer) will start as director at NS on April 1, 2025.

Alliander has announced that Marlies Visser and Daan Schut will be leaving the board of directors. Marlies Visser, who served as director of operations from 2014 to 2020 and has been the Chief Operating Officer (COO) since 2020, has decided to pursue a new challenge outside of Alliander. She will remain in her position until the general meeting of shareholders on April 16, 2025.

Daan Schut, who has held the role of Chief Transition Officer (CTO) since 2019 and has worked at Alliander for 15 years, will transition to NS on April 1, 2025. He will take on the position of director of commerce and networks, where he will support the company in further improving the travel experience and the sustainability of the transport system.

Visser has led the accelerated scaling of the networks of Liander and Qirion at Alliander, while Schut played a key role in developing Alliander's vision for the future energy system. Both have made significant contributions to the growth and strategic direction of Alliander, with a focus on sustainability and innovation within the energy transition.

The succession process for both departing executives is already underway.
