René van Vlerken new ceo of Euronext Amsterdam
18-06-2024 Stock exchange company Euronext has announced the appointment of René van Vlerken as new CEO of Euronext Amsterdam.
Van Vlerken joined Euronext in 2017. Since 2018 he has also been a board member for the Amsterdam brach. Van Vlerken is currently the Head of Listings for the Netherlands, Germany, and Central and Eastern Europe at Euronext. Before joining Euronext, he gained over twenty years of experience in various commercial and financial roles at ABN AMRO and Rabobank.
The Supervisory Board has nominated Van Vlerken as CEO, effective September 1, 2024. Pending approval from shareholders and regulators, he will also join the Managing Board of Euronext. Van Vlerken will succeed Simone Huis in ’t Veld, who is stepping down after five years as CEO to pursue new projects.
