Richard Bruens to leave Van Lanschot Kempen

07-09-2023 Van Lanschot Kempen announced on 7 September that Richard Bruens will step down as a member of the Board of Directors from 1 June 2024.

Richard Bruens has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2014. From September 2024, after his contract expires, he will remain associated with the bank as Senior Advisor to Van Lanschot Kempen and member of the Advisory Board of Mercier Van Lanschot Kempen in Belgium.

Van Lanschot Kempen has nominated Wendy Winkelhuijzen to succeed Bruens. She has been a member of the Board of Directors and Chief Risk Officer there since 1 September 2022.

Frans Blom, Chair of the Supervisory Board: “Since joining in 2014, Richard has been instrumental to the success of Van Lanschot Kempen in all the client segments we serve. His focus on client experience, personal service and strong commercial teams is reflected in a high level of client appreciation as well as in our growth, both organic and through acquisitions. The acquisitions of Mercier Vanderlinden in Belgium and Robeco’s online investment platform in the Netherlands are recent examples of this. We’re very happy that he intends to remain connected to our firm."
