Accell Group Announces New Chairman and CEO
06-10-2023 Accell Group announces the appointment of a new CEO and Chairman of the Board, along with a new Chairman of the Supervisory Board. Tjeerd Jegen will assume the position of CEO, and Kasper Rørsted will take on the role of Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
Tjeerd Jegen, an experienced CEO with over 25 years of expertise in global retail companies, will assume the position of CEO of Accell Group starting November 1. He succeeds Juan de Ochoa, who has been acting as interim CEO and Chairman of the Board since the beginning of the year. Prior to this, Tjeerd was associated with Takko Fashion. Tjeerd Jegen has also led HEMA and earlier in his career managed significant supermarket chains including Tesco in Thailand and Malaysia, as well as Woolworths in Australia.
Tjeerd's appointment aligns with the appointment of Kasper Rørsted as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Accell Group. Kasper Rørsted is a Danish executive with expertise in digital transformation, leadership development, sustainability initiatives, and global business trends. He previously held the position of CEO at two DAX companies - Adidas and Henkel Group - for over 14 years. He is an active member of various corporate boards and non-profit organizations, including Siemens AG, Maersk, Woom, and the European Round Table of Industrialists. Additionally, he has previously served on the boards of Nestlé, ABInBev, Ecolab, and Bertelsmann.
