Changes at KPN

01-10-2026 KPN announces changes to its executive board and supervisory board and simplifies its top structure.

Wouter Stammeijer will be appointed CFO of KPN on 1 November, succeeding Chris Figee, who leaves the company on that same date. Stammeijer has been a member of the executive board as Chief Operating Officer since 2023 and has worked at KPN since 2010, holding roles including Head of Investor Relations and Chief Strategy Officer. Before joining KPN, he worked at ING in treasury and M&A.

Vladimir Cibic will be appointed CTO on 1 November. He has worked at KPN since 2000 and has held various roles at the intersection of IT, digitalisation and customer experience. He also served as Chief Information Security Officer. Cibic will be nominated as a member of the Management Board from the AGM in April 2027. At that point, the supervisory board also intends to extend the terms of Stammeijer and Chantal Vergouw by four years.

At the same time, KPN is simplifying its top structure to an executive board of five members. From 1 October, the Chief People Officer will report directly to the CEO.

Supervisory Chair Gerard van de Aast said of the internal appointments: "Wouter and Vladimir have proven themselves over the past years as decisive leaders with a deep understanding of KPN, our customers and our strategy. Their appointments are the result of our internal talent development and give us confidence that KPN will continue to build sustainable value for customers, employees and shareholders. Chantal has proven herself as a strong leader for our business segment and we are pleased to continue that."

It is also announced that the supervisory board nominates Piero Overmars as a new member, from the AGM of 2027. Overmars is among others a member of the supervisory board of Dura Vermeer and Adyen.

Jolande Sap is not eligible for reappointment after twelve years, and Marga de Jager has indicated she will not be available for reappointment. Herman Dijkhuizen, Frank Heemskerk and Ben Noteboom will be proposed for reappointment.

On the nomination of Piero Overmars, Van de Aast said: "With the nomination of Piero Overmars, we are strengthening the expertise of the Supervisory Board in the areas of governance, value creation and finance. His experience as an executive and supervisor is a valuable addition to KPN."
