Artie Debidien New Supervisory Director De Nederlandsche Bank

24-08-2023 Effective from September 1, 2023, Artie Debidien has been appointed as a member of the Supervisory Board of De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB). She succeeds Margot Scheltema.

Since 2022, Artie Debidien has been the Chief Information Officer B2C and Executive Vice President at KPN. She also serves as the Chair of the Supervisory Board of Competens and a commissioner at NVM Holding. Until recently, she was a member of the Supervisory Board of Global Collect Services, a role she is resigning from due to her appointment at De Nederlandsche Bank. Debidien was nominated by the Supervisory Board and appointed by the outgoing Minister of Finance, Sigrid Kaag, on behalf of the shareholder.

Debidien follows in the footsteps of Margot Scheltema, who is stepping down from the Supervisory Board at the end of two terms.

Martin van Rijn, Chair of the Supervisory Board, addresses both: 'It is with great pleasure that I welcome Artie Debidien. Her arrival further strengthens the expertise in technology, digital, and security within the Supervisory Board. Artie Debidien brings with her extensive knowledge and experience in the financial sector gained from her roles in banks, insurers, and fintechs. We want to extend our sincere gratitude to Margot for her dedication, commitment, and loyalty to DNB over the past 8 years. As Chair of the Oversight Committee, her insights and critical thinking have contributed to the enhancement of supervision in the financial sector. In her role as Chair and member of the Financial Committee, she has made a significant contribution to strengthening the housing program, IT, and cost control within DNB.'
