ABN AMRO nominates Ferdinand Vaandrager as CFO

06-09-2023 ABN AMRO's Supervisory Board intends to appoint Ferdinand Vaandrager as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and member of the Executive Board for a four-year term. The appointment is subject to approval by the European Central Bank.

Ferdinand Vaandrager took over as interim CFO on May 1, 2023, taking over the position from Lars Kramer, who left due to a new career opportunity outside ABN AMRO. Vaandrager has more than 25 years of experience in the banking industry in which he held various commercial and managerial positions at ABN AMRO, Royal Bank of Scotland and Citigroup. Since 2020, he held the position of Head of Investor Relations at ABN AMRO.

ABN AMRO CEO Robert Swaak said, "The bank has tremendous quality in house, which this proposed appointment demonstrates. Ferdinand has years of experience in various parts of the bank and has spent the past few months learning intensively about the CFO portfolio. The Executive Board is therefore very much looking forward to working with Ferdinand as CFO.'
