TomTom nominates Maaike Schipperheijn as Supervisory Director

04-03-2024 Today, TomTom announced that it proposes to appoint Maaike Schipperheijn as new member of the Supervisory Board. Schipperheijn is nominated for a term of four years, effective as of 17 April 2024.

Maaike Schipperheijn has a CFO backgound and was most recently CFO of Royal Reesink, a large equipment distribution company serving the agriculture, construction, and logistic industries globally. Prior to joining Royal Reesink, she was CFO of Euroports. From 2003 till 2016, she held various leadership positions at Shell in Russia, the Middle East, and the Netherlands. In addition, she was Supervisory Board member and Chair of the Audit Committee at formerly listed Beter Bed Holding N.V.

The appointment of Maaile Schipperheijn will be effective as of the date of the next Annual General Meeting, to be convened for 17 April 2024, and will expire after the Annual General Meeting of 2028. “We are pleased and excited to propose Maaike for appointment to the Supervisory Board,” said Derk Haank, Chairman of the TomTom Supervisory Board. “Maaike brings a wealth of financial knowledge and experience in leading large transformations to TomTom. With the appointment of Maaike, we are confident that we ensured the succession planning of the Supervisory Board. I am certain that Maaike will be of great benefit to the functioning of the Supervisory Board, and the Audit Committee in particular.”
