Wiebe Draijer new supervisory director at Ahold Delhaize
19-06-2025 Ahold Delhaize has announced that Wiebe Draijer has been nominated for appointment as a new member of the Supervisory Board, with the intention to also appoint him as Chairman.
Wiebe Draijer is an experienced executive. He currently serves, among other roles, as Chairman of the Supervisory Board at KLM and as a Non-Executive Director at Air France-KLM. Previously, he was CEO of Rabobank from 2014 to 2022.
The proposed appointment will be submitted to the Extraordinary General Meeting, scheduled for 8 August 2025. Upon approval, his membership will take effect immediately after the conclusion of this meeting. Subject to his appointment, Draijer will assume the role of Chairman of the Supervisory Board as of 1 October 2025. He will succeed Peter Agnefjäll, who will step down from the Supervisory Board on the same date.
Agnefjäll joined the Supervisory Board of Ahold Delhaize in April 2019 and has served as Chairman since 1 January 2021. He commented on his departure: ‘I believe it is the right time to pass the baton to a new leader who can continue to guide and support the Management Board in executing this strategy.’
Frans Muller, President and CEO of Ahold Delhaize, said about the transition: “Peter Agnefjäll has been a remarkable leader and has significantly contributed to the successful launch of the Ahold Delhaize Growing Together strategy. We are grateful for his dedication and leadership. Wiebe Draijer will bring new perspectives and valuable insights. We are excited to welcome him to the team and look forward to the company’s continued success under his guidance.”
